To guide us in developing the Ulster Canal Greenway, we are preparing a Development Strategy which looks at all aspects of route selection, from the tourism potential to the peace-building dividends, and from the environmental impacts to the sustainable transport implications.
The Development Strategy is currently in draft format, and is being examined for the potential environmental impacts it may have.
Public consultation events took place across the mid-Ulster region in 2017 to inform people about the proposed development strategy and to seek input into the SEA. Events took place as follows;
|Courtyard Room, Newtownbutler Community Hall, Co Fermanagh||Monday 8th May 2017
|Market House in Monaghan Town, Co Monaghan||Tuesday 9th May 2017
|Seven Horseshoes, Belturbet, Co Cavan||Wednesday 10th May 2017|
|The Market House, Middletown, Co. Armagh||Thursday 18th May 2017|
